Brisbane - Love Letter to a City

Initially I was only going to go to Brisbane to watch the Rugby, but then I stayed for over a week. It is such a beautiful city with lots to offer - food markets, open air cinema, free concets, ferries,...

Here are some impressions from the city and the river flowing through it...

From the river there was a whole different view over the city. I went around Kangaroo Point and underneath Story Bridge. The ferry was free to use as well...

The museum was also free. I saw a lot of dinosaur bones, taxidermy and war trophies. They have German weapons from WWI that I have never seen displayed at any museum back in Germany...

Before it was time for the big event, I went to the stadium to pick up my ticket. On the way I came across this very cuddly kitty...

And now for the main event: the Rugby! Australia were playing Argentina in the Rugby Championship. It was my first ever southern hemisphere international. I enjoyed the experience very much. Australia won, my favourite player was there (if only in the stands) and the atmosphere at the stadium was great.

Brisbane has lots to offer in terms of food, specifically vegan options...
